Not here the AH across the street parks the wrong way and always seems do it at night when I'm coming home.

Me and Dad went out to find something to eat. Most places are closed but found a Whataburger open. Worst roads were in the neighborhoods. Main streets were very deep with slush but not what I would call dangerous. Saw one 2 wheel drive car stuck trying to get out of the gas station while we were eating inside Whataburger. Several people tried to help but he just kept getting stuck over and over again. By the time we were leaving he was hooked to the back of a Chevy with a tow strap and they were dragging him home.

Tonight will be a absolute mess when this melt refreezes!! On top of that we are suppose to get another pretty heavy round in the morning.

Since I work from home, not much changes, except no grocery runs and no schlepping kids to sports. Luckily, things are busy enough with work that there's now watching anyone freeze thier baguettes off.

Hunt County FM road by Greenville. It’s all freezing hard now. Morning will be tough for the weak and the idiots.

Roads are slick.

Two types of idiots, people driving like the roads are fine and people going 5 mph with their hazards on…..

AND stay off your brake pedal!

Denton back roads are terrible and the main roads aren't great either. All my routes are planned around avoiding hills and bridges. Driving a 2 wheel drive 1/2 ton service truck with 1,200 pound payload.

I had a clueless woman in an Acadia behind me earlier driving at a distance for sunny regular days....clueless/ignorant, 2 car lengths...

Wife and daughter were supposed to drive to Grapevine tomorrow for a conference. Luckily my daughter's school decided to skip.

I drove in the Denton area today.

2011 was worse.

2021 was worse.

2022 and this are about on par.

In those years, we always found a couple of restaurants that were open. Not today. I hope to find one tomorrow.

I drove a AWD Lexus and a Prius today. Some of the side roads were a little bumpy due to ice. I had my 17 year old son driving me around for a little while. He needs to know how to get around if he needs to in this kind of weather.

Lived in New England for a winter 30 years ago and ski a few weeks a year. Have tons of experience in snow and ice and never had an issue. Own 3 very capable 4WD’s including a Jeep that’ll stay nice and warm in the garage until this thaws. I have no doubt of my skills, but I doubt the abilities of most of the others on the road.

Did have to drive home in this mess from the office last night. Was in the Jeep and had no issues other than idiots flying past me. Last one was a Tesla with a young girl yapping on the phone. Just shook my head and got to my garage.

GX is probably one of the best cars for the ice. Built on 4 Runner frame but much heavier. We have one as well and while I don’t really like the car, it’s 4WD capabilities are pretty impressive.

Made a huge pot of homemade chicken noodle soup today so after being bored most the day we decided to go deliver soup to my wife’s dad, mom, and sister’s family 3 different places but at least on the same road pretty much.

75 wasn’t bad at all both lanes were clear. All the back roads we took and neighborhood roads were terrible. 82 wasn’t much better, you can see the rut where people had drove but there was still thick ice on the road and slippery. Truck didn’t have any issue getting around though.

I can definitely say the new Nitto Recon Grapplers are good in ice/snow.

Business 121 is slick as snot

Toll road is not bad at all because of the amount of work and sand put on it.

Service roads and streets are crappy

My bad. It's a LX470. The land cruiser body. Either way, it's a beast. I may buy one.

Yep, got out earlier for a bit, Bridgefarmer was solid ice. 380 was ok if you stayed in the warn lanes. But like you said tomorrow will be the real show.

Roads were fine going from Forney to Dallas. Bridges were iced but fine. 40mph was an easy pace with very little traffic. I’d almost prefer this over the typical drive into work dealing with a bunch of dumbazz’s
