Looking at the ASF 50# road feeder and hercules road feeder. Anyone have experience with one or recommend another brand? Ive never owned this style feeder, so not really sure what brand is good and what to stay away from..

My ASF Hercules is going strong, probably on 12 yrs now. I’d get the 100# if there’s no weight constraints. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

What are you going to use it on? Will it be permanent mount or want to be able to take it on and off? Do you need low profile to lower a tailgate or is high profile fine? I have used a lot of different brands and they all worked well. Biggest issue is if you need to take it off then go with something lighter. I have a Foreverlast 50# road feeder with the receiver hitch mount for my Ranger. It has worked very well and easy to take on and off due to it being light. On ranch I manage we use ASF 100# and Lamco 50# depending on vehicle it is mounted to.

Lamco #50 hands down. Slimline appearance, ability to open tailgate, durability and all - hands down.

I have the asf 100lb.Its over built, with that said I think lamco is best if you use a tail gate a bunch.

I am on my first season with a Texas Hunter Products 50lb feeder and really like it. I really like the idea that I don't have to have it wired to anything. Fully charged 12v battery will feed about 400lbs before it needs charging. Keep an extra battery charged at camp, and its ready to go. Can move to any vehicle, no need for wiring. Heavy built, but light weight if that makes sense? Texas Hunter Products Buddy has two of the ASF Hercules, with years of good luck.

I've used the 100# Texas Hunter Products road feeder for years. Well pleased, but the spinner plate isn't a positive shut off and I don't think the Eliminator Plate is easily added. As stated, whatever brand, get the 50# if you need to move it a lot. And don't lose the remote. 'Had a lease "buddy", that never has his act together, that had the exact same feeder, lose his and try to convince me that mine was his.

I have a 50lb Lamco and a buddy has the 100lb model. Very well made, my only criticism is that the angle on the bottom could be steeper to aid drainage for the last third or so. As others have mentioned, get the 50 if you plan on moving it much.

Very easy to take off. Guys I hunt with have had it for years with no issues. I considered an ASF, but this setup was considerably less money, so I went with the cheaper option.

Look for a cupped spinner plate like on the Lamco feeders if the shaft on your motor is the same size. https://shop.lamcofeeders.com/collections/feeder-accessoriesI have a Foreverlast 50# road feeder with the receiver hitch mount for my Ranger. Academy had free shipping IIRC so it was really cheap. I added the receiver hitch mount and it was not that expensive either.

Yep, I told my parents to get it for me for Christmas since they're always asking for gift ideas. With the mount and tax, whole set up was about $150.

I have a 100# GreenGo that I have been very pleased with. Light enough for one person to handle if it's not full of corn.

I have a 50 and a 100 lb. Both ASF. The 100 has never been off the front of the Kubota since I bought it. Now I wish I had bought a 200 lb. They work great.

I have the 100lb ASF that put on/take off the front of my Can Am. Fill it according to how much you want to throw and you'll be good, otherwise it's not manageable for one person to take off with corn in it

Another vote for the Foreverlast road feeder. Since I have a front rack on my UTV, I decided to mount it on there instead where it's found a semi-permanent home for the last 4 years. It will hold one full 50 pound bag of deer corn.

Never understood driving over your corn. I know there are reasons to throw from the back but I like to see the corn being thrown in case its not throwing as it should. There wont be that much ran over and if it is its still edible in most cases. If its a little hard for them to get to then all the better cause it keeps them out there longer. There is also a lot more going on at the rear of my truck that I dont want the feeder in the way. No right or wrong answer on front or back, just preference.
