It was pretty good for GWT and Gadwall. Shot very few mallards and never saw many. With that said all my typical mallard spots where dry this year.

Steve is that your place? I was the original founder of it when it was Pintail Farms. That’s a special area..

239 ducks and 86 geese. About half my hunts are solo and half a buddy, sometimes 2 buddies. About 40 ducks were private the rest public. 83 geese were a Wyoming hunt with an outfitter. * Mallards 34 * gadwall 68 * GW Teal 99 * Widgeon 11 * Woodies 17 * Pintail 4 * Cans 3 * Redhead 1 * Ringer 2 Best season in 5 years or so. The geese hunt followed by a cruise with the wife hurt my duck numbers....I imagine you guys were smashing them with the numbers we had. I put less miles on my truck and never slept in my truck or boat this season....part of me missed those

As far as numbers go, it was a record year for me. That freeze around Christmas was a great week, wish that would happen more often. Lots of uneducated greenheads around.
Finally bit the bullet on a new (to me) surface drive rig last Nov and it paid off. They never showed up in numbers out west on my deer lease ponds so I'm glad I did. I do miss rollin' out the camper an hour before LST tho and not messing with public on the weekends. All the 2 am wake ups and 2+ hour drives, then getting home and having to work are gettin' harder to pull off. My version of "the hangovers hurt more than they used to" I suppose.
Already looking forward to scouting some new places for next year. Gonna get caught up on sleep first tho.

Great year for us on our farm. Doubled our kills from last year. And tripled from the year before. That’s all I can ask for is improvement. Still have a lot of work to do on our place. But it’s been good so far. Especially since the kiddos want to go more now. Like seeing them get more involved!……until the work/farming side comes time. Then they seem to disappear!

I had a good season for Me,but if you weren't right on the X it was dead. What I call a good season is, when the X limits ,but others get some birds too. What I was saw it was boom or bust. I put 14,202 miles on my rear end chasing ducks this season. I hunted all 16 days of early teal & 58 days of the regular season.

I don't get to waterfowl hunt as much as I used to. I've turned into a deer guide for me son. I'm sure that will change when he's big enough to wing shoot and our wetland is done. Also, didn't get any water on my buddy's wetland until after the split. However, it was the best last week of the season I've ever seen as far as bird numbers. We killed 145 mallards on the 6 hunts I was on.

I hunted all 16 days of early teal & 58 days of the regular season. Good on you! I thought I was pretty mad at 'em...
