This season it has been wonderful to be outside doing part of what we were created to do. It was a season of firsts for me...

-First time my wife hunted with me ever, and she got two deer.
-First time to sell some duck calls, I have only made them for personal use and to give friends and family previously.
-First time to get serious about killing ducks behind my house on Ray Roberts.
-First time to make a turkey call which I think looks and sounds great, I hope the turkeys think so.
-First time to hunt in Oklahoma which was different but awesome.
-First time I did not hunt at all with my rifle, chose the bow because of the longer season.
-and sadly first time to shoot a big game animal and not recover it, that one will sting forever...

Anyway, lots to reflect on and lots of new memories! Hitting the lake tomorrow (Saturday) let the fishing begin!
