An external view of the ship simultaneously would be interesting.

That’s cool but if I’m going to Sitka.
I’m going to be wearing Sitka, and hunting Sitka on Sitka not playing pool.

Clicking on the video it shows that was on a cruise around New Zealand....my understanding of the Alaska Cruises is they are relatively calm due to being mainly in the inside passge and no real rough seas.
I will be able to report about that late june, as we have a planned cruise to Alaska this summer. I have a fly fishing trip planned with my son and then will do a salmon/halibut fishing trip with my brothers. Should be a good time.
And just for BOBO, I will probably take up some of my sitka gear to wear while in Alaska. I have been very impressed with the ambient line btw, if you havent gotten your hands on some, both jacket and hoody are great.

As Buckeye says, pretty calm seas as most of trip is inside passage. I do not recall ever noticing any rolling of the ship. With that said, that pool table is pretty neat!

When I retired, my wife wanted to go on an Alaska cruise. I didn’t want to, but finally gave in. The ship was the Celebrity Infinity. The cruise was great, I finally admitted, and we’ve done several since. Our best cruises have been on Oceana, on their Riviera ship. Best mattress I ever slept on. Told the wife to see if she could find out who made it. Well, it was Italian made, and I could get one for $3000 plus shipping. That’s a bit too much, but it was great.
I want to do the Alaska cruise again, but on a smaller ship.

The wife and I took a cruise from Boston up the East Coast with stops in Main, Canada and Halifax, Nova Scotia and the ship had two of those tables. It got rough enough that the table ran out of travel. It was fun to pay a few games on that moving mess. Wife kicked my back side.

The only cruise I've been on is a pontoon boat on Lake Buchanan. That's as about as close to a cruise as I will go. I like seeing land.

That's a neat table. I've been on one cruise in my life and it was a Transatlantic cruise in April 2019 on the Queen Mary 2 out of Southampton, England (same port from which Titanic embarked) into New York City. The ship was an ocean-liner, not a cruise-liner, and was about the size of an aircraft carrier, or three times longer than the Titanic. Let's just say I have a newfound respect for the North Atlantic. 25 foot waves and Gale Force 11 winds tossed that ship WAY more than I was expecting. Despite the rough, early spring seas, we loved it. One of the best parts, was that you weren't crammed in the ship like they do on the cruise-liners. We only had about 2,000 passengers, where they stuff 5-6k passengers on the littoral-type cruises. NO THANKS. P.S. We were sailing out of the same port, same basic route, same destination, and same time exact time as the Titanic. We observed the anniversary of its sinking while at sea with a moment of silence, and passed within about 90 nautical miles of its final resting place (the high winds forced the ship to take a slightly more southerly route).
