Wonder what will happen to them (kids) I fear they are being brainwashed by the "Teachers". I for one am selling all I have except for the few collectables w/Ammo with hopes to pass them on I hope they keep them and hide them away if they have to.

that is a good question. Yes, they probably will. I already see changes in the way the different generations view the government, and it is not the way I view it.

There are grown men on this board who are giddy that they don't have to pay the $200 tax stamp to give up their rights. It's just not the young.

If they do, I blame the parents and grandparents. It’s our responsibility to teach this next generation, it’s our responsibility to ensure they’re not being brainwashed at school or online. Don’t just sit around and assume the future when you have influence today.

Hey, DUDES, I "was" a teacher/educator for 16 years.
I am very conservative, and a Christian.
There were/are many of us "teachers" who are NOT leftists, and did our best to remain neutral and NOT turn the young minds of American children into brainwashed, leftist zombies.
Watch how you stroke with that wide paintbrush.
Addendum: I'd surmise the "colleges/universities" of our country are the real threat.
Blessings to us all. IN65/joe

that is a good question. Yes, they probably will. I already see changes in the way the different generations view the government, and it is not the way I view it. History will repeat itself. Lotta kids treat WWII like it's a fairy tale. "Nazi" is just something you call the opposition. They're so "evolved" now, don't you know. People have changed. We're more enlightened now. Especially since we got rid of that pesky religion.

...+++ True, there are good educators suck as your self, but what you said above highlights the problem. You and other right leaning teachers stay NEUTRAL, and let the kids think for themselves. The Leftist teachers do not stay Neutral.

I'll leave mine to my son. He can dispose of them as he wishes. My grand daughter has already called dibs on all my fishing gear. But none of them could care less about inheriting any weapons. I believe one reason is the high cost of hunting and finding a place to shoot. Hard enough for them to make ends meet as it is right now.

Let me rephrase...
I did NOT go out of my way to "alter minds with regards to social issues." I was there to teach reading and writing.
However, if a "social topic did arise," I definitely gave my opinion, my "conservative Christian" opinion, and reminded ALL my students to think for themselves, discuss things with their parents, and to NOT be influenced by social media, leftists teachers, professors, etc.
It was very hard to stay neutral, and in the same way liberal teachers DID espouse their views, conservatives teachers did as well. "I" always let them know I was conservative Christian, but I did not go out of my way to "sway" them. I addressed social issues when a kid brought an issue up, and I made them think about was "right" and what was "left," I mean, "wrong."
Example: THERE SHOULD NEVER BE GENDER NEUTRAL BATHROOMS. THERE ARE TWO GENDERS, AND THEY SHOULD ALWAYS BE SEPARATE!
Again, blessings to us all. We need it!

The 2nd guarantees the right to own firearms. There's no guaranteed supply of ammunition. There's been a trend for several years now. Did you notice?

Selling them for pennys on the dollar, most likely.
If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

There are grown men on this board who are giddy that they don't have to pay the $200 tax stamp to give up their rights. It's just not the young. This right here. I'm opposed to most gun laws even the ones that restrict access to a firearm for someone convicted of a felony. My rationale is that if the government gets to make a list of prohibited people that eventually they will expand that list to include you no matter who you are. That was the original intent of the gun control Act. When it got passed the original intent was to basically make guns illegal for pretty much everyone within about 15 years. Had the NRA not gotten taken over and then absolutely freaked out about the new gun laws we probably wouldn't have access to Firearms like we do today. My thinking on restrictions goes like this. People in prison, jail, supervised release, or probation should have a condition added to there paperwork that they cannot possess a firearm while under supervision or in custody of any sort. After someone has finished their time if they weren't convicted of a crime of violence or a crime utilizing a firearm then I think that they should have their rights restored immediately or within a specific time frame assuming they don't catch new charges. We need to make a serious effort to figuring out the type of person that is likely to commit a crime with a firearm instead of just making blanket bans on a huge swath of the population.

My wife / daughter have no interest so they will be sold before I'm gone.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Not a problem with my kids and grandkids because of how we raised them.
A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

IndianaNation thank you for your teaching service. I have no doubt it was an awkward situation at times and you tried to insert conservative values wherever you could. I get it. Corporate America for 25+ years. It's crazy how much things have changed in the past 10. Looking forward to retirement where the filter can come off.

Not a chance in Hell. I have raised my sons with the same beliefs about that topic and it is so strong in them that I know they will pass it on to the grandkids. My father and grandfather set the bar for me and it has never been a topic to consider deviating form. Ever.
As fathers I believe it is our responsibility to set the example on certain things and not let them deviate from them. A child’s success and failure in life is directly related to the parents and how they raise them.
