Out of touch these days but what is the cheapest but still acceptable scope to throw on a cheap AR-15 in 5.56 to shoot decent groups out to 250 yards?
Trying to help a buddy have more fun at the range as we were shooting steel 2-3moa sized as 250 yards but his 1x red dot optic wasn’t cutting it.

They come with a spacer for taller red dot. The way it is set up I would think it would work with anything. It also flips over and out of the way if you have close targets.

Best you can do for cheap without going Chinese is Bushnell PRIME 1-4X32. Not sure you can get it mounted for cheap without using Chinesium though.
