Not a hunting take but saw 2 nice 8 pts dead on the highway yesterday when we drove through.
I was driving so spouse was watching the scenery.
Nice wide 8 pt just South of the River on the North bound side and another nice 8 pt in the median just North of the breaks as we came out.

Both looked to be fresh road kills.

Sorry , we were hammer down to get back home, hence the reason I was driving. The spouse is a pokey driver.

He said the 1st buck was much heavier and wider than the one in the median.

I believe him as one year driving down just outside of Ft Collins he said, as I was cruising," there were a set of antlers under that bush by the highway."
We stopped on the way back and yes a nice set of 4 pt antlers were laying right there under the bush.
He has selective hearing but good eyesight when it comes to antlers and wildlife.

Are y'all allowed to collect the antlers?

They were in Texas and not legal there.
We can in Wyoming, just call the GW and they will sell you a game tag for the antlers.
