Reports this morning of an arrest in the murders, made in Pennsylvania. Presser at 1 pm Idaho time I believe today.

I’m interested to see how this turns out. I would think stabbing 4 people to death would leave a huge mess.

This one has some odd twists to it. It is being reported the suspect was enrolled in school in Washington State, but the school is not that far from the crime scene. He was apprehended in Pennsylvania and is 28 years old. On the surface, doesn't really fit the profile that would be consistent with those that were killed. I'm curious as to motive.

Kohberger was arrested Friday morning in eastern Pennsylvania

The suspect arrested in Pennsylvania Friday in connection to the murders of four University of Idaho students is a student at Washington State University.

Bryan Christopher Kohberger, 28, is a PhD student at the department of criminal justice and criminology, according to the WSU website.

The college town of Pullman, Washington, is about eight miles from the King Road home where Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Ethan Chapin, 20, and Xana Kernodle, 20, were slaughtered between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Nov. 13.


Kohberger was arrested at about 3 a.m. Friday by local police and the FBI in eastern Pennsylvania on an arrest warrant issued by the Moscow Police Department and the Latah County Prosecutor's Office.

Arrest paperwork filed in Monroe County Court shows that he was being held for extradition to Idaho where he faces a first-degree murder charge.

According to public records, Kohberger appears to originate from Albrightsville, Pennsylvania, and maintains a residence in Pullman.

In 2013, he registered as a Libertarian and does not appear to have a criminal record, records show.

Not that often a guy murders numerous people with a knife and it takes close to two months to find him. Has to be a random attack one would think. Interested to find out.

Seems like they may have been onto this guy for at least a few days. Already had the murder warrant prepared and working with interstate capture would seem to take a bit of time and coordination. Bet they've known with pretty good confidence that he was their guy and have had him under watch for a few days. Maybe a fingerprint or DNA? I bet we learn he was rebuffed by someone in the house and was out for revenge.

I bet one of his relatives ended up doing one of those “dna see where I’m from” tests and it lead them to him.

I'm glad they're getting somewhere and it sounds like LE officials have their ducks in a row.

However, this is where I'll go against the grain in pointing out that he's still innocent until proven guilty. Yet the media are setting about the business of crucifying this guy before he's made a plea or has been tried. Condemning a man before he's been found guilty is clearly the American way now (and we don't always get it right), but that's not a principle foundation on which our great Republic was built. Flame away.
