Saw it this morning on matinee, give it a 2/2.5 stars out of 4. If you enjoyed the first one, you'll probably find enough to like in this one. It is a long movie at 3+ hours. Visually stimulating but probably not as much so as Avatar was 13 years ago now that CGI has been so much more in use. Will be curious as to what the next one's theme will be assuming a next one. Budget for this one is rumored to be $.5-$.75B with its domestic opening last weekend being softer than expected.

The first one was so stimulating that I left the house in the middle of the movie to grab a shovel and fix some holes in the driveway. I can’t imagine this one will be any better.

The first one was even more woke than dances with wolves, which it was ripped off from. I can’t imagine wasting my time on number 2.

Sort of watched a good portion of the first one with the kids when it came out on DVD, the visuals were pretty cool for awhile then I starting dozing off pretty quick.
No plans on watching the second one.

On a side note: Matt Damon was offered 10% to act in the first one but turned it down to finish up some post production stuff on one of the Bourne movies.
That was a $280,000,000.00 he passed on eeks333

Took the wife last Saturday, she likes these types of movies. Concur with your review.

Not my kind of movie, hard pass. The next one I'll probably see at the movies will be the new Mission Impossible next summer.

Main theme is actually family unity and general societal acceptance amongst two Avatar tribes; I found it pretty acceptable in nature and not really "woke" for what it's worth. Anything promoting family and family unity, I'm pretty down for
To me that cuts across all political leanings and affiliations equally.

Same. No plans to see this one or any others.
