Got together with my brother parents and his in-laws and made some deer pork and chicken tamales. Wound up with about 33 dozen. Was a lot of fun will have to do more often.

Love homemade tamales, how long did it take to make that many?

It was about 7 of us working on it, made pretty swift work of it to me. The meat was all prepared a day ahead, we were cleaning up before noon. The ones in the box went home with someone else to be frozen before steaming and the rest were steamed.

There was some very seasoned hands amongst our ranks but I’d say the green horns pulled their weight as well.
