Checking some game cameras today and noticed this unusually large Mushroom growing.
It is probably 8" tall and around 8"-9" across.
This is Deep East Texas....if that helps. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/12/full-56101-374188-mush1.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/12/full-56101-374189-mush2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/12/full-56101-374190-mush3.jpg)

looks like some kind of split-gil fungi. Try downloading the Seek App by iNaturalist on your phone. Kids have had fun with that one.

I dont know what kind of exact mushroom that is, but i would be careful, it could cut you and even kill you if you try to eat it….though i dont know how it will open the knife, just the fact it is holding a knife for you to see tells me it is a deadly shroom.

Photos are out of order. 1st pic should be last. I 'disarmed' it. No danger to anyone.
