This is an interesting thread. Just to know what a Yamaha 1000 is, I looked it up. I had to laugh, since my mud covered, butt ugly, noisy, slow Kubota is so far different from that Yamaha, that it’s funny. The Yamaha is a supermodel, where my Kubota is…uuuh…something else. Yeah, definitely not a SxS for work...unless you race for a living. Here is a shot of my Buddies Yamaha - it has won multiple races and Texas Pro Championship last season.

When you tow it DONT strap to the bumper of the mule!!! the bumper is just a simple bolt on.....i use the winch to secure it to the trailer

So was really leaning towards to the Mule due to size (similar to you - garage, etc). However with kids driving, the rolling is concerning.

It doesn’t roll like that stock or HD springs I specifically went mule over CanAm due to Throttle response and stability(mule crew vs hd10 single(crew is different animal). The mule is more gradual throttle, can am is more like a dragster. In my mind the kids are safer in Mule, but nothing is overly safe at 40mph

In my mind the kids are safer in Mule, but nothing is overly safe at 40mph I think if I upgraded to HD springs it would take the roll out. I also have the Pro-box 6 speaker roof which adds some weight on top. But the mules I drove in stock form also had more noticeable body roll than the can am. I would agree kids are much safer in a mule, than a single seat can am. Fwiw the crew cab can am is super stable at 40 mph. I’ve not got the mule to 40 but at 30 it’s acceptable , not as stable as the can am, but I wouldn’t expect it to be based on its wheelbase.

Look at the s3 springs.

I’ll check into it.
I asked the tech at the dealership if o needed HD springs and they said no.
It’s a little low in the rear, maybe this will take the cali lean out and stiffen up the roll.
Just looked, It’s the probox 4 speaker with sub, but there is still some weight up there.

its got some weight on it for sure, i picked it up, but I don't think its any heavier than say a ranch armor or quack rack metal aftermarket roof.

If you ever want a race-ready buggy, I've got a buddy that builds them to sell. He's more of a can am fella though and seems to stomp a lot of the yamahas. (Not knockin the yamerhammers in the least). He's currently working on one for the KOH.

Update:
After 60 days of owning the Mule, I'll say i prefer it to the Can-Am for 95% of what I do. I do prefer the larger bed of the can am for working but really like the shorter wheelbase of the mule, its very nimble compared to the much longer Can-Am.
Really cool little machine.
If you asked me today which machine would go and which would stay, I would keep the Mule

I bought one the the first Mule Pro's when they come out in 2014. All I've ever had to do is tires, oil and oil and air filters. It's been a highly reliable machine.

I glass from top of mine alot. ranch armor is a good company I agree on the metal roof. My lonestar came with the plastic roof and I soon learned to not get on top of it. Instead of ranch armor I went with the low-pro Fortress steel roof and have been very happy with it. It's a little more low profile than the Ranch Armor to where I could still fit in my garage.

I love my Mule. It is perfect for my little 100 acre farm property. Coming out of a 4010 Trans Mule the ride is silky smooth. One of the things I needed was an enclosed cab. The Kawasaki brand looked hideous so I bought the fortress. Unfortunately the doors do not seal well but they do knock the wind off which is perfect. The Mule would not work at the much larger ranch property as it would be too easy for the dust to get in. We currently have the Polaris Ranger 900. I am looking to upgrade the Polaris with the enclosed cab Can Am with heat and air. I am a little concerned with the low ground clearance.
