I have been trapping hogs for 20 plus years in various different traps. I have a standard 4x4x8 slam door that has served me well for about 15 years. I have since moved it to the Texas Pan Handle and these pigs are far stronger and determined than any I have ever trapped. One 150lb pig will walk that trap wherever he wants. This trap has no bottom so usually I will shoot them and then turn the trap over to retrieve the pigs. My question is, how do you guys stake your traps down so you can roll the trap over still. Thank you!

T post right front corner. T post left rear corner or vice versa. Wire off trap to the posts.

'Same, 'cept with rebar. (The place came with a lifetime supply of rebar, scattered around at old feed traps. I shoulda named the place "The Rebar Ranch.")

Speaking of determined, this was at our lease last week. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/12/full-65846-373293-137f9902_db30_45a2_afe6_a57691f177f0.jpeg) Seven in the trap the night before, only 4 left in there the next morning. Maybe pigs really can fly.
