That's probably good. There are more than 3 tablespoons of sugar in each can or the equivalent in corn syrup.

Fjb says 7% cost of living. Excluding food, energy and housing. Those are the only 3 things I need to live.

I never buy sodas unless they are on sale. I like to see 4 12 packs for $12 but sometimes it is only 3 which still beats WalMart. Neighbor drinks 3 to 5 diet Cokes per day. I bet he spends more on Cokes then I do on liquor and beer.

It seems the last 6 months or so, I can really feel the difference in pricing of goods and services. There is not nearly as much, if any, left at the end of the month.

I stopped drinking sodas years ago and switched to flavored sparkling waters like LaCroix, Waterloo, etc. In 2021, I could usually get 4 12-packs on sale for $8-$10 depending on the sale. That comes out to $0.19 - $0.21 per can. Now when they go on sale at Kroger, it's 4 for $13, which is $0.36 per can. Keep in mind, this is just sparkling water!

Man LaCroix has really gotten high here recently. I used to only buy it on sale, now when it is on sale I still can't pull the trigger on it. Waterloo is a also really good, but man they have also realllllly spiked. We just buy the HEB sparkling water, yes it isn't as refreshing and crisp as the others but it works.

Agree. Always heard diesel is easier to produce and remember when it was cheaper than regular. Makes you wonder what’s changed? I do know the high price of it flows straight through to the consumer. Be it the diesel in the farmers tractors or the big rigs delivering all our goods… they have to pay for it some how.

I meant to type the current sale prices are about 3 12-packs for $13 (not 4 12-packs for $13).

Yeah, it's really expensive now. The other BS thing is shrinkflation- most of the 12 packs have now shrunken to 8 packs. And the regular price on those 8 packs is $4.49 ($0.56 per can).

Millennials might have to cut down their Starbucks to 2-3 days a week so they can get a mortgage now.

Never been to Starbucks and never will. For the price of one Starbucks coffee I can make probably 20 pots at the house.
