I'm not very good at bird identification. Is that a kestrel? Yes it is. This one is a female with out the beautiful blue and gray coloring that the male has. I have plenty of him, my first chance at getting her with my Nikon. My favorite bird of prey. They wreak havoc on grasshoppers !
