Kinda dumb to post their picture with a deer that is not tagged.

Is it illegal to take a picture of an untagged deer?

Really…..WTF Over…🤦‍♂️🙀🤷‍♂️🙄

If I am excited (and my child is excited) about their first kill and tag the animal after the picture causing some Barney Fife LEO gets twisted off over that fact I’d happily pay the fine 10 times over….

Get a friggin life…. 2cents

Can't even have a thread about a kid's first deer, there's always that guy.

Not a damn thing wrong with taking pictures where the deer dropped, then tagging the deer/loading it up/and going to camp. It's what I always do. Nothing illegal or "dumb" about it, as long as you tag it before going to camp.

It's sad that you would rather criticize these youth hunters with your assumptions and not take the time to congratulate them.

Post pics when you do amigo. It's fun watching your kids grow on the internet.

You're a good Dad, keep it up.

Same here. My daughter seems way more intentional about hunting and the outdoors than her younger brother. Part of me thinks his motivation comes, in large part, from a healthy competition with his sister. Can't let Big Sis out-do him! smirk

LOL, my little girl is ready to shoot another deer soon.

I said "Well, are you gonna clean it"?

She said "Yes Dad, just cut the bones for me because the bones are hard".

clap

My boy is very hesitant to jump in and try new things, he takes after his momma. My baby girl is 100% me. Gutting a deer and she just starts reaching in to grab a handful and says daddy what do I need to take out lol. I fear I’m going to regret the similarities at some point but I’m ready to kill some critters with them. My brothers boys started hunting not long ago and it’s been a lot of fun to see them get excited about it and relive some old memories and see some new ones made.

Same here Red. My little girl has never been afraid of blood & guts, but up until this year my boy has been a little sissy about it. I had enough of that this year and told him from now on, you're not shooting another deer unless you clean it - period. So you either leave your gun at camp, or man up and clean your kill.....you're 11 yrs old, I'll help you but I'm not doing it for you anymore. Well, last weekend he made me proud and got it done. clap
