Great question, why didn’t I think of that. I go to great lengths to try and document and track specific deer so I can learn how they change but never think to ask others.

he added a little horn over the past two years but no huge jump - he did however add about 20-30 lbs it looks like - massive body

As far as documenting and tracking deer this place is incredible - our camp house has at least 40 plus buck pictures on the wall - they are split out by: Kill, Do Not Kill, and Video first. We run 20 cameras during the off season so we gather a ton of pictures along with videos - it gets overwhelming sometimes but the system really works for tracking their age

You have to remember, they might not be drinking as much as we are.

Yes same deer - old and a tank - son was happy as he could be

Yes on the two years of 12 points - our lease also took a 175 and a 194 so far this season - we have a couple of others that will most likely go down soon -

Great looking buck tlk.
Glad you found another good place again to lease!

I am back on the original same lease again - just retired from being the lease manager to being just one of the hunters - they guy who was my right hand guy took over the management job and I am loving it!

Good on you brother!!!

Hell yeah......enjoy yourself man

I clearly see 6 on the deer's right side and I'm pretty sure you cannot see his G2 on his left as it is blocked by this G3 & G4.

Here is another angle - straight up 12 point - One beam was an inch shorter than the other and all of the other tines were very close to identical length and mass

I think a typical 12 is as cool a deer as someone can take. Not a lot of them around.
Congrats for a great deer.

TLK, the 230 liveweight, is that on the upper end of the mature deer like this one (7+ year olds)?
I know the deer in your general area get big. My buddies that have a 6k acre Maverick County pasture of a large ranch leased kill numerous every year that will weigh over 220 on the hoof. I believe their biggest so far was an early season 150" management deer that tipped the scale at over 260 live weight. Damn thing looked like a yearling bull with horns

tlk, I cant remember you posting that 14 typ before. Between the 14 typ and the way the antlers and beams layout I think that would be my ultimate. Just needs more mass....... smile
