My wife doesn't like getting gifts, only giving them. She's a nightmare to shop for because she doesn't want anything.

I second that one as well.

Holy freaking crap! 500 plus for a hair dryer? I must be way out of the loop on this one. I mean I get 500 for a G Loomis rod but for a hair dryer? lol

I think I paid about $400, four years ago. Worth every bit of $500.00. Will last forever and doesn't heat up the hair like toast but gets the job done in 1/2 the time. Buy it, she love you long time.

What part of the southern metromess do you mean? Arlington, Mansfield? Or like South Dallas? Burleson? Lots of areas qualify.

Ha, no Dallas County for anything, anytime. I don't consider Burleson as part of the metro area. Let's just say south of I-30, west of 161.

If she's just wanting relaxation, At Peace Massage and Spa in Mansfield is supposed to be very good.

My wife and I buy what we want when want. We do not need a special day or holiday o show appreciation for one another. We enjoy quality time and travel. Materiel things are worthless and you can't take them with you. Share the short time you have together with quality time and establish long term memories.

You really aren’t much fun this morning. As for material things, even toilet paper is a material thing, and I’d rate it much higher than worthless. And how is your walk to work, probably not wearing shoes, their being worthless and all…

Don’t be so gloomy.

Too bad you're so damn old and senile that you missed the entire point of my post. Pound sand old timer.

I guess I have something to look forward to when I'm your age... roflmao

Toilet paper and shoes....really? You're just goofy as the day is long.

Take your wife and go do something for someone(s) less fortunate.

You really aren’t much fun this morning. As I said. This is a thread about possible Christmas gifts for the wife. We didn’t need your sermon from the pulpit.

If you stay this angry, your old age won’t be much fun. Go stomp puppies or something.

Good Luck!

Can't help. My wife hunts. Typical girl. She has more hunting boots than I do. She actually wanted another pair camo Mucks this year.

How about a gift certificate for custom made shoes or boots? You can see her style by looking at what she has.

Quiet close toilet seat.
Always put the seat down when I use the toilet. Figure it is a nice gesture that doesn't cost anything. I do kind of drop it and it does make a loud wack and she has been griping about the noise. Go figure.
So that is what she gets,
May throw in a gift card for a divorce lawyer.

After 39 yrs of marriage my wife buys her own Birthday and Christmas presents. I'm ok with it, she's always been conservative with money.

We do some of that as well. She knows what she likes, and I know the specifics of what I like. We both get what we want and then we usually throw some type of surprise in as well.

Im backing you on this one 603. I much prefer your drama over his name calling. And I like Oxner 1, so Oxner 2 is fine by me.
Hopefully back to topic. The hair dryor is pricey but she spends a lot of time with one in hand so maybe I should consider.....
