I bought a palmetto .300 blackout pistol and have a form 1 suppressor I tried out on it. I can shoot without earplugs just fine but still seems a bit loud. My buddy has a honey badger suppressed with a Q suppressor. We shot together few days ago and I was in awe of the difference in sound….mine was what it was but his sounded like a pellet gun. We both had subsonic ammo. Obviously, I know there are more variables to consider but could my palmetto be upgraded to sound like that or is that just the difference in a 600.00 gun compared to 3k gun? Thanks in advance

I would say it’s more indicative in the quality of the suppressors and not the guns.

I would say it’s more indicative in the quality of the suppressors and not the guns. This, if barrel lengths were the same and ammo is the same then it’s the suppressor. I have many suppressors including a form 1 titanium can I made swap it out for my YHM Phantom and the difference is crazy.

Easy answer is let him try his suppressor on your gun.

Through my YHM Resonator, subsonic ammo sounds like racking the slide. More like a red Ryder.
Does the honey badger has a silent capture spring style buffer? That’s where the majority of sound comes from. Just I haven’t wanted to throw $150 to fix.

The silent capture spring made a noticeable difference in my 300 BO.

I’ve never heard a form 1 silencer that can compare to a quality commercially available one.
