Been watching them off and on past few days. They fly workmen around on those ladders and carry stuff. Those guys earn their pay.

Have you known anyone in that business?

They use a helicopter to avoid crispy critters because a crane would be a bad idea.

Not my idea of a good time, even though it probably pays well. Back at the naval air station we had 100 foot poles, with 12 feet in the ground that had cross bars with antennas on them and we'd have to inch out there periodically and do preventive maintenance on them. It's amazing how much those thing sway in the wind. Pucker factor of 9.9.

I've seen them do it with a single worker but I've never seen that ladder setup. Not something I would or could do.

Yes, I grew up with a guy that now lives in West Virginia. He flys around in a helicopter and does that very thing. And he does make pretty good money doing it.

12 volts can get your undivided attention. When I was a teenager I was standing in knee to waste deep water and hooked up a set of jumper cables from one boat to another. I never did that again.

My solar powered electric fence is DC and will light you up...interesting tidbit - DC energizers aren't UL certified...

You ain't lying. When I was a teenager I bought my first "real" underwater floundering light. Was a metal pole hooked to a car battery on a styrofoam float that I drug behind me with an ice chest for fish. It developed a short and I can't count the times I got the FIRE knocked out of me. Would be creeping along in knee to waste deep water nice & peaceful like looking for a flounder to stab and then all of a sudden I'd get tazed, my whole body would lock up and it hurt. I got so pissed I threw the damn thing as far as I could and just went home. roflmao

My brother and his good buddy drank a bunch of beer one night back when they were in high school. The buddy thought it might be funny to pee on an electric fence.

I got zapped full blast right in the juevos by an electric fence, ain't no joke. roflmao

Used to raise goats and was putting up electric fence.... My partner and buddy waited for me to cross the fence, pushed down on the top wire with my hand and put one leg over, then he turned it on. Got zapped and instantly pulled my hand off of the wire.....and guess where the wire went. I jumped up and down getting popped screaming like a little girl I don't know how many times until I finally fell over. He thought it was real funny. bang

Yeh he thought it was real funny too. grin

Especially when you're all sweaty and you feel that shock in the bone marrow all the way to your toe nails.

Yeah, and you posted this right while Tucker Carlson had a segment on a so-called dwindling sperm count crisis. Sounds like you cooked your eggs and little smoky. roflmao
