Wonder what Paul Bear Bryant would have to say about college football and it's players today? Nothing, he'd have to go with flow just as all current generational coaches have to. Can't put prior era coaches into today's times and think they wouldn't have to modify to times just like today's coaches and put them back in prior eras. Sign of times man.

The Woody Hayes', Bear Bryant's and Jim Knights of college coaching yesteryear wouldn't be able to do now what was done then in today's day and age of social media, otherwise lawsuits by the dozens would be happening with video evidence to substantiate them. Not saying right or wrong, just is!

Maybe Sark is realizing NIL can be a problem. Rumor is Worthys mom wanted 450k last year. May be trying to “hold out”.
This is A&Ms problem. Very few kids outside of Texas grow up dreaming of playing for Texas A&M. There is zero buy in into the program.

Most would rather go elsewhere and be in a winning program rather than helping an also ran try to re-establish a program through a few years of mediocrity.

And with immediate eligibility to boot and/or release when transferring within conference for immediate eligibility. The loss of 1 year of eligibility was a deterrent back in the day unless transferring downward in classification.

I don’t remember where I saw it. But Worthy and his mom are high drama. Rumor was that’s why he decimmited frim Michigan, his mom slept with the OC.
