What rings are you guys using on the Tikka’s? They have some sort of proprietary rail that I haven’t seen rings that fit, there is a hole on the top of the receiver where some type of ring is supposed to be pinned in place in addition to the screws but I haven’t seen those rings either.
I ordered some Talley rings and they went on ok and have decent reviews but they sure don’t seem as stout as what I am accustomed to on other rifles.
I know these rifles are very popular so what are you using for rings?

Sportsmatch T084 are very popular if you can find them in stock. t084 are the 30mm low, I forget the code for the 1”. Air guns of Arizona sells them and a few other sites.

EGW 20 MOA pic rail
Night Force Ultralite rings
It would take a heck of a wreck to break those.

Sportsmatch is the way unless you need more adjustment in your scope then a pic rail is a good option.

Not all do, but there are some picatinny rails with the recoil lug for Tikkas. You want that. Pick your flavor.
Seekins are about the lightest rings you can get. (These are also sold as Vortex, I think.) TPS if you don't care. Do this if you switch scopes around or shoot long.
Otherwise, Sportsmatch.

I use Talleys
And there may be others much better
All I can say about Talleys are I was T-boned last year and the rifle took a direct hit, dam near killed me
Spun a 3/4 ton around twice, took that rife which was muzzle down, flipped it muzzle up and across the truck
Once I recovered and shot it that sucker held true, same zero
Hey, they got my business...

Thanks for the replies. I couldn't find Sportsmatch in stock. While searching I came across mounts that Spuhr makes specifically for the Tikkas. I have several of their heavy duty ISMS mounts for PIC rails on my other rifles and really like them. I had no idea they made a hunting line for the Tikka. I ordered it.

$220 - works out cheaper than buying one of the rails listed and good rings like the Nightforce.

Nothing improves holding power like reducing surface area with grooves.

Nothing improves holding power like reducing surface area with grooves. Its not just surface area in play but texture also. Two smooth surfaces rubbing against each other would be slicker than dog s**t.
