I’m fine with staying home. We might end up looking after a few grandkids. Bunch of drunks out there anyway. Last time we went downtown (maybe 10 yrs ago), I almost got ran over several times on 75. We couldn’t believe how bad it was

We typically head to the ranch for NYE. Hunt, grill some steaks, get chitwrecked on the front porch. Might actually get to shoot off some fireworks if the rain keeps up.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Normally for me it is a casual day visiting with whoever while enjoying some  &  . then in the sack snoring by 10:00 This year will be special for my son Wyatt who is stationed in Bahrain will be home for the holidays with his newly wed wife and my daughter & SIL will be here from California. The kids have a bunch of stuff already planned out including me staying awake until midnight New Years eve, will have to get a good nap in if I am going make it to12:00

The pain from my rotator cuff surgery 4 days before should be hitting full stride about then, so maybe I'll be up. Toasting the new year on top of pain meds is probably not a bright idea though.

Haven`t done anything in over 20 years. Same plans this year. I can count on one hand the number of times I have gone out for new years in the last 35 years and have fingers left over. Just the one night of the year that I absolutely want to stay home.
