just wondering, I see some nice rifles for sale in the THF classifieds and all other forums. I know I turn allot of guns, but I will always try and post a target and describe what accuracy to expect. most guns for sale never mention accuracy, so, I just take it they don't shoot good and thus the reason for selling. I don't want to buy someone else problem, a big risk when buying used.

Thoughts from you all?

While on the topic, is there a reason no one includes the location of the rifle in the title? I'd sure use the classifieds more if I didn't have to click on every single interesting rifle listing only to find out it's 9 hrs away from me.

Taking and posting a few pictures is not that hard. I don't look into an ad if it does not have photos.

They should show how they shoot. But on this forum it rarely happens.

I’ve always taken bad shooting rifles to the gun show.

MANY people are extended/over-extended these days and the first thing to go will be $ rifles. Somebody has to fix a pickup, pay for surgery/funeral/new appliances, etc. Suddenly, that $500-1000-more you have tied up in a gun you use a few hours a year looks pretty good. But I do assume all the Chrstensens won't shoot.

Doesn't everybody's rifle shoot in the .200's or better? grin

Debt is at an all time high. I have been planning to buy a new rifle for a very long time but something happens and those funds dry up. There is always something. At least I’ve been able to hang on to what I’ve got left though.

To be completely honest this is the first time in my life I wasn’t sitting there worried about paying for Christmas. Sadly I’ve turned a rifle or some ammo into Christmas money many times through the years. The ones I have left now are as much, actually more a part of my family than our pets. They are that important to me.

The good thing about buying used is that a used rifle typically appreciates in value. But you can definitely get burned.

I have not seen someone shooting a Christensen rifle that was not either disappointed in the accuracy, or believed it would get better after break in. It’s the last rifle I’d buy. Might get flamed for that, I better get the popcorn ready

Hey Brian, sorry you're going through a bad time. Hopefully just a short one !!

I'm beginning to agree on the Christensen's. I really like their MPR but I can't have a rifle which won't shoot under MOA.

I’m actually going through a good time now. Better than I’ve ever been. All that is in the past.

I probably could have got a rifle this year but I put it all into bow season. Gun deer is ten days here, Archery and muzzle loader only in the area I hunt, so it was a no brainer for me.

That, and my wife’s grandad gave me his rifle last year and I’m pretty happy just shooting that for now.

I always post pics of the rifle, but have never posted any groups that I shot. I'm not capable of executing any rifles potential since my skill is lacking. With that said, the only reason I'm selling is just being bored and ready to try something else.

Yea it amazes me how some people will post up a custom gun or a high end factory gun and ask 5K+ but don't even post a picture. Too rich for my blood anyway, but even if it wasn't it wouldn't get a second look from me since they can't even post a picture of the firearm.

Unlike you, most members post the name of the city/town they reside in, right over there on the left side of the screen, under their screen name. Pretty simple to update a profile and add a location….unless you’re a renegade on the run….then it makes sense to not have a location.

It’s coming. The dems know they are not winning the presidency. Also because people are getting nailed for voter fraud:) So they are running the ball.

This one is the actual ATF mumbo jumbo
https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2021-06-10/pdf/2021-12176.pdf

This one kind of condenses it down to a readable format.
https://fieldethos.com/atf-is-offic...0of,the%20brace%20in%20to%20authorities.

The 4999 Worksheet will be almost impossible for any of the pistols to pass, I know all mine failed before even starting the worksheet rofl

Thanks. The NFA needs to be abolished. It really makes no sense that it was ever instituted.

If you took off the brace, then it's still legal. If they waive the $200 tax stamp, I might SBR it.

The ATF needs to go out with it. It’s like they exist to infringe on our rights and for government over reach. Their primary purpose is to test their limits to figure out what we will or won’t put up with
