Buzz, I’m shocked a scope that size weighs only 21oz. Because the guts of Swarovski rifle scopes are weak as a kitten. The internals are probably made out of paper machet. I might throw leupold into that paper machet discusssion. Lost track of how many I’ve sent back. That’s why I switched to Nightforce. I don't doubt it.

I wish it was a bit heavier. It reminds me of a FFP reticle at low power. "Had one on my first AR-15. I found the reticle too fine. great glass though." Hint

I found a lighter one to try. Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x42mm Mil-R Riflescope C461 20.5 oz. I ordered it and will see how I like it. Another plus for this setup. Have one on a HC X-bolt 308 and it's a really nice balance. The weak link on this rig is the shooter.

Like my March scope. Supposedly they are coming out with a 1.5-15x42 FFP in 2023 around 17oz.

Like my March scope. Supposedly they are coming out with a 1.5-15x42 FFP in 2023 around 17oz. Have you seen a pre-order yet?

The new 1.5-15x42 34mm March is ~24oz and orders will start to be taken mid-January. Gone be pricey But I've got a project in mind for that scope. Two feet, or a thousand yards, that magnification range will do it all.

It was 4 ounces and $1000 difference.
I've got the 4-32X F-1 on order.
The major benefit to the March is the edges of the reticle are thick at low magnification.

The major benefit to the March is the edges of the reticle are thick at low magnification. It’s actually a bit over 30oz with the Tenebrex caps it ships with. Without the caps mine weighed 29.2oz. It’s a great scope if one needs all that top end power. That new March is a niche scope as you can tell. Will fit well on an AR platform. The price is shocking. I’ll need to find a wealthy friend to buy it an let me look at it….BUZZ????
