I have a claim in process with GEICO, estimate completed and repairs underway. This is the first claim with GEICO, and yet they have raised the premium. If I cancel the policy before the repairs are complete, will GEICO still be required to pay the claim?

Coverage date only matters as to when the claim took place and has nothing to do with if you cancel a policy afterward.

I actually was able to get a lower rate at USAA for the same coverages!

I left Allstate for USAA and practically doubled my coverages on home and auto and still saved about 30%. This after being with them for over 25 years. bang
