Re sprayed rubberized caulking on my deer lease camper roof last weak and noticed some hail spots on the roof while spraying those seems. Have purchased 15 - 20, 20ga. aluminum metal 36×36" sheets. Thinking of laying those down and places some bricks on them as added roof protection. Has anyone tried something like that before, how were the results of it?

I would think that in a high wind situation that it would be like a war zone with all that flying metal.

Seems to me to be just a patch. Water is patient and will find a way through unless you make it water tight. I am afraid all of those metal panels will be about the same as a tarp. Temporary solution.

I guess we will wait and see, these sheets are stout, probably 10 lbs. or so each and will be putting bricks and/or flagstone on top of them. More hail protection focused than leak prevention as I don't currently have any leaks. Think it will do what I need it to barring a tornado or straight line hurricane force winds.

I would think that in a high wind situation that it would be like a war zone with all that flying metal. Yeah I'd probably do something different to secure them. Maybe a couple ratchet straps all the way around if possible?  We use old pieces of R panel tin to cover our firewood. You'd be surprised what the wind will do if it catches it just right. That was with cinder blocks on top of it, in the corners and middle.
