My guess would be a Brewer's Duck...MallardXGadwall hybrid.

Farm duck/ wild mallard cross. I want one SO SO BAD now. I shot 4 in one season, didnt save a single one. I did a bunch of research on this and was told from multiple sources this is what it is. Definitely not a brewers. Just some wild ones that got in with some pen raised birds. But now that I want to put a mallard and a pintail next to the hybrid, i want an odd ball mallard, not just some regular mallard. Awesome bird!! Will try and see if I can find pics of the ones I shot a few seasons ago.

Thanks for the replies, nice birds flashman. Shot my fair share of green heads but never anything outside of normal. Farm duck makes sense, it didn’t have very many smarts, surprised the mutt made it this long
