I need to get a B3200 hauled from Clayton Ok to Zimmerer Kubota in Van Alstyne and I was wondering about who to call and what stuff to be aware of/ concerned about when hiring folks that do that...also what seems like a fair price if it's around 130 miles one way...

It would be about $.65 a mile in fuel loaded. I'd expect to pay about $300 each way.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Give these people a call and see what It will cost, good people and top notch service. I use them all the time, matter of fact I won’t use anybody else to move my equipment. That’s a pretty small tractor so make sure and tell them the size and weight, they could probably put it on a rollback if the tractor is currently running making the haul cheaper. It shows to only weigh 1700 pounds. https://www.americantowingparis.com/

PS it is running and I bet a rollback would handle it fine now that you mention it...

There are online sites to submit a load to haul. Put it up and receive quotes. I have used this website to move an expensive collector car and also to move a SxS long distance. Been very happy with the results. https://www.uship.com/

Crossing state lines complicates this for anyone who wants to do it legally. I am sure there are a thousand people that would be willing to do it under the radar but crossing state lines with a CGVWR over 10k for commercial purposes involves the DOT.

Well I’m sure someone out there has a Chevy s10 and a 12’ single axle! Tractor is only about 1700 pounds, about like a utv

A rollback wrecker will be $500 also. Every State and County line adds to the price. That's a long way for a wrecker in most cases so they're time is really valuable too.
Pass the gravy.

It’s not the actual weight of the load. It is the manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating of the truck added to the manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating of the trailer. Doesn’t matter if they are completely empty. A F150 has a gvwr of around 7,000lb so if you hitch on a 3500lb rated trailer you are over 10k. Y’all may laugh about it but I once got a ticket pulling a 12’ trailer out of Oklahoma into texas. They got me on this 10k rule and I got tickets for no log book, no dot number, no medical card, no fire extinguisher, no reflective triangles, no commercial inspection on the truck and trailer. It wasn’t a cheap experience

Think it was rated for 24k, and I didn’t have CDL… Wish I was closer and I’d just do it for Papa.

Sewer Rat, I wouldn’t laugh about that. I talked to a guy that had the same situation just pulling his 16 ft tandem axle trailer across state lines to move some of his mothers furniture and stuff.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.

For what it's worth, I paid $800. to have my 5,000 lb. forklift hauled up to Mabank from Bastrop county, on a rollback. About 220 miles door-to-door.

I know you did Bobo. I was replying to Old Rabbit and your post got lumped into the quote.
The DOT rules are insane and most of it makes no sense and is not logical.
OP have you asked Zimmerer about hauling it? My Kubota dealer will pick up or deliver machines for a reasonable fee. Heck my Kubota dealer is 50 miles away and he has brought parts and stuff to my house several times for free.

It's easy.....the hauler's give bids, and you can pick the lowest bid or the one with the highest ratings, or not accept any bid if you don't like any of them. It worked fine for me.

I had no idea they would go after a non commercial vehicle like that. I have been luck so many times. Thanks for explaining the stupid rule that is there just to generate money.

Thanks to everybody that weighed in - nothing beats the collective intelligence of this crowd! SR I tied for 3 months to get the Kubota dealer in Poteau to come get it and make some bucks off me in the process...after being told numerous times they'd do so and then them failing to do so or even make any attempt to follow through, I posted this up and lo and behold, they can suck it - it's headed to Zimmerer in Van Alstyne thanks to great advice in this thread...
