Which is what I didn’t do this morning. The wife insists I shoot coyotes, and this morning there were 3 in the hay field, out past my known marker at 250 yards. So, distance was more than 250 and less than 400, but no problem. They were just standing around, so I grabbed the RF. Battery was dead. Dang. Man, a healthy scared coyote can really hit a high gear - when I missed.

Wife was not pleased.

Not my monkeys, not my circus...

Yep, been there before. The reticle in my scope is what I used to range the animal when it happened.

Waiting on Amazon to deliver a replacement battery for my range finder after 7-10 years on the original battery.
