I have found, the hard way, that you need a small electric thermostatically controlled heater in that well house. Not much fun fixing busted pipes and electric pump motors. Drain the cast iron pump and water lines in the well house.

Also, when I leave in winter, I dump the toilet tank and bowl. Next, use a small portable air compressor to blow the water lines under my trailer house.

It’s not if but when. And when is every hard freeze.

Tell me about the line to the city water.

When the original owner built the house he ran a 1 1/2” water line from the meter to the back of the yard for a water faucet. That line is the same line that T’s into the house. After we get the water tested we can install a cutoff valve and check valve at the water meter and tie the well into the line to the house. This is why we located the well where we did. All lines from the well have black handles and lines that can be used from either the well or storage tank have blue handles. Additionally, every line has a shutoff valve at the manifold and at the end of each line.

Pump houses used to be popular here, they did much more then just insulate the well.

Since the 1980s they have been used less and less with many people opting for a pit setup or a pitless adaptor.

I worked for a water well drill company for a couple of years. We installed a lot of pitless adaptors, mainly because they had several advantages over the other two options. Being well house or pit.
We used one called a Snappy Adaptor.

For me the big thing was, once done, the only thing above ground was the well casing and a cap on the casing. Second to that, nothing had to be moved to access the pump, except the cap.
They also did not require the disconnection of any plumbing to service the pump.

With your setup a pump house seems to be the best option. You did a great job with it.

Spouse has plans to put a pitless adapter on our lot well in the mountains.

We use a 60 watt light bulb to heat the ranch wellhouse but it is 6 ft below ground.

I think your temperatures run close to ours. Most of the time.

Many of us up here don't have wells, me included. Our water comes from a pond, others have to haul in water.
Those that have to haul in water mostly use insulated buildings made for that purpose with a storage tank for the water.
Even here a well built water house can be heated with a inferred light or two.

The pitless adapter does have the advantage of protecting the lines from freezing without any additional heat. Heat that can and does sometimes fail.

We don't need one because our water line never come close to the surface. They run underground from the pond to the house.

But here those that have wells use pitless adapters for most installations.

Being from the south, I have never heard of a pitless adapter or seen one. We had 24" concrete well casings with a 2" concrete lid and floor piece about 2' down from the top. Our stand pipe went thru one of the holes in the floor piece. I can't imagine having to deal with the cold temps up north like some of y'all do.
To the OP, that is one fine looking wellhouse and plumbing job.

I've busted more than one pump thinking that I have plenty of insulation or it isn't going to get all that cold.

Finished out nicely.

During the reagent cold spell, I put a double floor lamp in my new well house and the coldest it got was 42 degrees. I'm real happy as to how yours and mine turned out.

Looks great. Regarding well house temps or monitoring any remote property for that matter, for the past few years I've been using Goveee Smart Sensors. It makes it easy to remotely keep an eye on temp and humidity levels via a phone app. They also sell water leak sensors. I've been using the Govee 5100. They come in either 3 or 5 packs. They have pretty good range but battery life decreases the further away the probe is from the wifi signal.
