My first dog to formally train turned 7 today. The relationship between a duck hunter and their dog is hard to put into words. Training and watching this dog work year in and year out has been a joy. The pure grit, determination and all out 100% effort she gives no matter the conditions is truly something to see. Then the icing on the cake is how she’s performed at the Line in tests earning her Hunting Retriever Champion title just after her 2nd birthday.

What's the ballpark a pup from one of her litters would run? Do not have the best living situation as of now for a big dog but hope to in a year or two

For Kimber pups I usually ask around $1500 but due to the current market I’m only asking $1000 for these.

You can expect to pay anywhere from $800 - $5000+ for pups from health tested and titles parents.

The really expensive pups or sold more to people who want competitive field trial dogs. I tell people looking for a hunting/family dog or even a test dog to look for litters more like this litter I’m having with Kimber.

I will be breeding my dog Rally late 2023 but that litter will be geared more towards field trial homes or very serious hunt tests homes. Those puppies will be $2500-$3000. There really isn’t any reason for someone looking for a family hunting dog to pay that much. I also will try and place those puppies in competitive homes.

In the grand scheme of things $500 for a news paper lab versus a $1000 for a pup from proven lines and health tested parents is nothing.
