Well, found some more of the speckled trout we caught in 2017 out of Venice, La. This was day one of a two day trip. Day two was a limit of redfish in about 30-minutes, then catch and release on bull redfish. It was a great time with family and tonight was outstanding.

Gonna be down next week. Redfish are never a problem, but would love to load up on some speck filets!!

Looks fantastic! Hard to beat fried specks in my opinion.

Mind if I ask how they tasted after 5 years and what is your secret to keeping them that long? (Frozen in water, vacuum sealed, etc...)

They were still good, they were vacuum packed at the marina and frozen overnight at marina. Flavor and texture were still good, probably less than they were right after caught, but only got compliments last night.

Been wanting to do it for a bit. Went this year with a guide out of shell beach, could t be much of a bigger bust than we had lol, congrats looks like y’all had a good one.
