IMO, MSRP is just a suggestion. If I want something bad enough RIGHT NOW I will pay whatever the going rate is where it is available....this applies to anything I may be looking to buy. However, I will spend a little time doing research just to see if the price is comparable.

Correct ... yet when a car dealer charges a premium for something in demand no one else has, the world roasts them.

Pass the gravy.

I wouldn’t pay $300 over. Prices will eventually come down to MSRP or more competition will show up to drive the price down.

I remember when those Kel-tec bull pups were selling for hundreds of dollars over retail for a year or two.

Would not. Bought one for MSRP plus tax at LGS. Waited 4 months for them to call and tell me they had a few in stock. I think before too awfully long you will be able to purchase a new one below msrp once supply catches up with demand.

If I want it I’ll pay 100 over MSRP without hesitation.

Not if it's a consideration for me. Sometimes the play money budget doesn't allow for it. I'm not stretching for something like that. Other times, who cares.

I don't even pay MSRP.

Have a safe full of really nice guns and paid well less than what they're worth for all of them. I know I'm a cheapskate, but creating value by buying at the right price is one of the ways I justify the cost of the hobby.

Also I work too hard for my money to over pay for anything.

And lastly I just like trying stuff out. I'm more likely to find a great deal on something I wasn't even looking for and buy it just to shoot for a bit and probably end up selling. Sometimes I end up keeping it. That's how I have an Ugartechea 20 gauge side by side and my Colt 1911. Same with my Ruger AR-15.

I was ready to do that but changed my mind when I read about them. It was also right after a problem with an EMP4 9mm that I had. Springfield is having a rough go with some of their products. Picky with ammo, FTFs, FTEs, magazine feeding likely the cause of some of them.I wound up with a CZ clone instead at about the same cost, but with zero problems..
