And on the off chance that you guys read this forum...My wife said yesterday when I got home, "must have been some ducks, people were shooting on the public right behind the house." Hunting is closed at noon and yes, if I was home I would have walked down and let them know the rules, they probably just did not read close enough. I am not opposed to calling the warden, rules are there so we all get the same chance at success.

Sure would be nice if there was more of a game warden presence. I think 2019 was the last year I was checked in the field.

I have had the game warden called out to visit me more than once on RR when I was hunting Snipe. Once had a local resident walk all the way around a big cove to chase me down and chew me out for hunting after noon. Only Snipe just like Dove hunting does not end at noon. He looked really confused when I pulled a couple birds out of my pocket to show him as most people including some GWs have not seen one in the hand.

how do snipe eat? Always wondered and never hunted them.

I prefer them over dove. They’re excellent.
