He was two years ahead of me.

I took his little sister to prom.

I was 19 when the arthritis started in my hip after my back surgery...my mom was 42 at the time. I am now 47. Mom was not old when I, her youngest, had arthritis. My cousin started turning gray at 16. He was completely salt and pepper by 21. My mom would have been 54 at the time. Again, not old. Age is a state of mind and when I am 248 years of age, I will still not be old.

Women often say that a man’s mental age is the sum of the numbers in his physical age. That would make me 12. At 248, Lonestarson would only be 14.

Well oldie, I don’t know how invested you are in your granddaughter but I just got through a week long pots and pan search. I originally ordered Viking Contemporary but then figured out it was made in China and canceled the order. I went back to searching and bought All-Clad D5. They arrived today. Hopefully they’ll last a lifetime, even for a youngster.

The wife will pick the pots. I am not qualified.

Any of you over 65er's have your doctor give you a cognitive test during your physical. Has happened to a cousin and a friend of mine recently.

Just wondered if that was something new that we are all going to have to take.

I took one once. It indicated that I was a little above average intelligence but with really bad short term memory. I have no sign of early Alzheimer’s and thus can’t live long enough to get it.

I’ll never take another one. I don’t want any evidence that my mental state/memory has declined enough to be incarcerated in one of the “homes”. If they try to put me there, somebody is going to get hurt.

I’m glad you mentioned that. Good to know. I never would have realized what the cognitive test could mean long term, as connected to a ‘red flag’.

When you start watching the food network channel and your gonads are hanging down rubbing your inner thighs. I’ve reached stage 1 but my nuts are still high and tight for now but I feel the shift coming soon. My grandpappy always said when your nuts hit closer to your knees then your waist it’s time to hang em up and enjoy life. I’m measuring my party balls today to see how much work I have left in me.
