Anyone else hunt Coleman and all their deer have disappeared? We had a lot of good day time action thru the 1st weekend. Now we're lucky to see pigs at night. Have the acorns started dropping?

Deer are still hitting feeders good on my place, I don’t have 1 oak tree on my place, mostly mesquite.
The neighbors have a few oaks but no acorns is what I’m told.
We get night and day pictures.

I hunt northern Coleman County, deer activity is certainly slower than normal.

Thanks for the info. I'm in eastern part of the county close to Bangs. Hoping that this cold snap gets them moving during the day and gets the rut going.

I am a bit east of you in Brown County. Noticed does in pasture twice yesterday being chased by a couple of small bucks. First sign I have seen of rutting activity this season.

We’re heading up Saturday, just got done with the new camp house.
I’m looking forward to hunting with the grandkids.

SW Coleman county a couple of miles north of Lake Ivie. Opening weekend was super slow. Last weekend was a little better and I'm expecting this weekend to be pretty decent.

I hunt in Tyler county and I’ve seen the same thing. Everything just went dead.

Me and the grandson are going to feed cows in Leon county this morning, then head out for Coleman county later.
Hopefully the bucks will be in there feet out there, we’re looking forward to it.
Safe travels and hunting to everyone.

When I bought the place back in 2019 the realtor told me if we feed corn we will have pigs, so the first couple of feeders we put pig panels around them, never seen a pig or any sign of pigs, we have feeders with no pens now and still no pigs.
I hope it stays that way I have plenty in Burleson and Leon counties.
