Okay, I am undertaking a “highly scientific” poll for respondents…
1. In your vast deer hunting experiences, would you say that you have typically seen BETTER bucks in -
A. The morning hunts B. The evening hunts
2. In your vast deer hunting experiences, would you say that you have typically seen MORE TOTAL ANIMALS (Bucks & Does) in -
A. The morning hunts B. The evening hunts
♥️♦️♠️♣️ Wild Card - In your vast deer hunting experiences, would you say that you have typically FALLEN ASLEEP more often in -
A. The morning hunts B. The evening hunts

Of the target bucks we have shot off our place 4 have been in the morning and 5 have been in the evening.
I don't notice a discrepancy in total animal sightings, but I usually go to the locations where I know from cameras stuff is actually showing up vs going to random locations
My naps tend to be in the morning waiting for legal shooting time.

Better bucks in the evening. (Mainly due to a 40 acre wheat field I only hunt in afternoons) About same number of deer morning and evening. I never, ever, sleep in the stand.

A, A, A but hunting mostly from tripods works as encouragement to not doze off much. I will say that I have seen some big bucks right before dusk on several occasions but generally more numbers overall in mornings and certainly more rutting activities in mornings.

DQ, when I hunt all day in a tripod I have to tie myself in to keep from dozing off and falling out.

After 27 years of deer hunting….it’s right about 50/50 on both scenarios.
I only fall asleep in the morning though
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Every deer I’ve ever harvested or seen has been an evening hunt. I was just thinking about this the other day sitting in the stand.
