Ewers' too cool for school thing is getting old, especially the more they lose and worse he looks. May be seeing a little of why he bailed up at OSU and going back why he rode pine some early his junior year at Southlake as opposed to the mystery injury given after the fact.

Lol, I like you guys only pop in when Texas losses..... I'm pretty sure yall think more of Texas football then Texas fans.
Texas D line, and safeties are the only veteran group on the team. I expected them to be good this year, which they are.
Everywhere else they are very young, or new to the program. Texas purged the team last year, then added 40 new players to the team.
I've been saying the D is pretty good, but the offense suck, even more so when Ewers is off, and sometimes he is way off. Stack the box, and dare Texas to beat you over the top is the way to play Texas, its no secret. Texas has one deep play threat, but worthy has major problems tracking the ball in the air. Offensive line looks like this 2 true freshman 1 sophomore, 1 junior, 1 senior. Their best tight end sophomore, best WR is a sophomore, and starting QB is a red shirt freshman.
Realistic expectations 8-4, and improve on that next year. They need to win out this year to reach that 8-4 mark. Ese, isn't Overshown a 3 year starter at OLB? I called 8-4 / 7-5 on here before season commenced and sticking to 7-5. Bijon probably took himself out of Heisman contention last night on the big stage. Had some big games early versus ULM and ISU and an OU team that is now 2-4 in Big 12 play. That statue is Stetson Bennett's to win at this point,plain and simple. No more excuses, we're young, Sark is new, Ewers is young, etc., etc. UT is simply a top 1/3 tier Big 12 team, nothing more, nothing less. Have fun at Alamo Bowl or Holiday Bowl. Understand San Diego is nice in Dec.

Your view is skewed S.A. College Station is like TCU, or Oklahoma State which is where I went to school. Solid programs that have never quite got over the hump. There are UT grads in my wife’s family. I hear the delusional UT fan smack talking, blame game, excuse making, living in the past, Texas hung the moon, at home on a regular basis.

I hope TCU can get it done. Make the final 4. You never know, all these teams are vulnerable. Georgia won on last play against Mizzou. Tennessee went to OT with Pitt. Ohio State struggled against Northwestern.
Michigan is an X factor. Good rushing team. Not real fancy. Pretty good defense.
I do think committee puts in a 1 loss PAC champion. Since two playoff games are out west. If USC can hang on.

Texas should have at least tried another QB. Ewers is not the answer, even though he thinks he is. He needs to get rid of that stupid beard and the long hair and play up to what HE and the head man think his potential is. Texas better hope Archie can tote the load, because Ewers cannot. Shark called a crappy game. Pass plays over 30 yards looked to be the game plan and Ewers just does not have the ability, Never seen a QB with less touch on the ball than him. Offensive line failed to show up, consequently Bijohn never got started. Defense played well the first half. I do not think Texas can make the claim that they are back any more this season.

Does his hair and beard effect his arm? Apparently something did and it could be his beard and hair. Okay, leave the beard and hair, but he will still have a problem playing QB for UT.

Serious question here since everyone is putting this on the play of Ewers and receivers. Can we all agree the offense strength of Texas is Bijon running the ball? If so, why did he never touch the ball on first and goal from the 5 on four downs for no score?? That's on your coaching staff. Second, what's the best overall strength of the Texas football team? All i heard was the defensive line. You do realize the game got to within 7 points in the 4th quarter after the scoop and score by your defense right? Texas kicked the ball deep to TCU. TCU lined up and ran the ball straight at your defensive line to run what.........6 minutes off the clock to win the game? Hard to put that on your offense or young QB when you can't stop the running game with your strength to give the ball back to your offense. Just some food for thought.

Another person who doesn't know what they're talking about. I don't know if you realize it but Texas offense may have passed the 50-yard line once in the first half. And time of possession was 20 TCU Texas 10. Like I said many times three and out over and over and over wears your defense down. You don't make an intelligent argument. You blame the defense that outscored the offense, And also blame the defense for not getting the offense who scored three points in 56 minutes of football, the ball. The offense had the ball for a little over 20 minutes, and it's not because of the quick strike offense.......
TCU enjoy it while you can you will get run if you do make the playoffs, and next year everyone will have forgotten about you. This is my padlock prediction you can take it to the bank.

Nice and salty S.A. - understandably after a decade plus of a crap college program. I do not see anything changing in the upcoming decade so you are in for some lean years I would imagine. I used to be a casual fan myself but call it fair weather or whatever but them and the Cowboys lost me years ago. The carrot gets dangled year after year while the disappointing end result is the same.
