When shopping around do you ask for a discount or do you pay full retail price? Seldom do you find specials or sales
on thermals even though some retailers offer such things as an extra battery or mount to go along with the purchase.
Some may put a value on the information a retailer can provide if you need input on what is best for you etc. In my case
I know exactly what I want and only want to save a few coins. My son in law always pays retail price even when he's buying
a new vehicle but he owns a retail business and that's his way of supporting other retailers not to mention he's in a better
position to do so. The last thermal I bought I asked for their best price and ended up getting nearly eight 8% off and it
was a fairly new release. There is one retailer that will discount 5% but you have to ask for it.

Does anyone do black friday sales on thermals? It might tempt me to get a hogster or cheaper pulsars.

The only sales or discounts allowed by dealers must be authorized by the manufacturer. Any discounts provided outside of an authorized discount/sale is a breach of a dealer's agreement with the manufacturer and it puts their agreement at risk. With that said, Bering has never run a sale on Hogsters but anything is possible. Pulsar VERY rarely runs sales for holidays. However, AGM usually has some holiday sales and they are planning a small one for Black Friday again this year. iRay currently has several optics on sale via a fall promo and some of the deals are really good, like the Bolt TL35 for $2,699 that's normally $3,299.

Eurooptic was selling some really nice close outs for a couple thousand off last week.
