Yes. Brass is already on order and I will be making ammo as soon as it comes in. It should be a good one!

I don’t understand the purpose of the 7prc personally. Barrel life and mag coal?

I don’t understand the purpose of the 7prc personally. Barrel life and mag coal? I kind of agree. It's basically a modern 7 Rem Mag. But, these big ammo companies will come out with new round, market it, which creates new gun sales and ammo sales. It gets things moving. I mean, where would we be without the 6.5 Creedmoor! (chuckle, chuckle!)

Its really close to the 7 LRM, I may try it out someday on a lightweight build.

"While the 28 Nosler has greater case capacity than the 7mm PRC, problems arise when you try to load these long, heavy bullets because they sit so far back in the case. That can lead to erratic performance. In addition, the SAMMI twist rate for the 28 Nosler is 1:9 (though many rifle companies produce their 28 Nosler barrels with a 1:8 twist), which is not ideal for the heavier 7mm projectiles."
Yes, greater case capacity.
No the bullets are not sitting too far back into the brass. A 195 gr Berger is long, and it works terrific in the 28 Nosler.
Erratic performance is nonsense.
Not ever one time have I loaded for a 1:9 twist 28 Nosler. They have all been 1:8.
Not ideal for heavier 7mm projectiles? Do what? That's what the 1:8 is for.

I have shot a couple boxes of the 180 ELD-M and have reloaded the brass with 162gr ELDX and they are running 3040 fps from a 22in barrel. Way easier on the shoulder than 300 PRC or 28 Nosler. I agree it’s just a ballistic twin to the 7Rem mag just like the 300PRC was to 300 WM. But while it won’t work it a short action it does give the advantage of seating the big heavies out and still fit normal magazines. I would expect the factory 175gr ELDX to flood into stores pretty quick which is why I haven’t been able to buy those bullets for months. And I do have some reloading data for 175/180gr bullets from manufacturer of someone needs it and I can tell you with 162’s 68gr of Reloder 26 seems very safe.

I searched for 7PRC brass, and got nothing. I searched for 7RM brass, it's available.
I understand reloaders come last and it's new so I continued.
I searched for 7PRC factory ammo, and got nothing. I searched for 7RM factory ammo, it's available.
Is this going to be one of those rounds you can't build or buy ammo for? I'm thinking of the 6.5PRC that's been out for a few years. The same search engine (Ammoseek) shows no brass availability. I wish the 7PRC the best but I don't need more headaches.

Horizon Firearms has had one for several months along with a pretty good supply of ammo but they couldn’t release any rifles until last week. I have worked up hunting loads for two of the Venatic GT’s and both shot great with 162ELD-X running Reloder 26

Thanks. I’ll probably order a reamer if I can find loaded ammo or brass on the near future.
