What is the best place in Fort Worth are to get a good gate opener? US Automatic, Apollo or Liftmaster would be good.

I think Apollos are now called Nice. I ordered mine off the internet. Came with all the instructions. I had a problem and called their service people. They were very helpful with solving the problem.

Single opener on a 16' gate. Solar charger only/same original battery (deep cycle marine battery). Installed in Jan 2016. Never had a single issue. It is our driveway gate and gets used multiple times per day.

I think mine has a 20W solar panel though. My gate is also pretty light - 16' grey - light/medium duty tube gate from Tractor Supply. FIL has one as well on a much heavier 14' gate and it handles it fine.

I was just going to update - I too have been looking for a high quality opener.
After watching many videos and looking at many openers in person, I just bit the bullet and bought a US Automatic Patriot One Solar. I installed it yesterday and I've got to say...I'm glad I bought this brand over the many others. Super well built. It's stout and pretty straightforward installation.

Good to know! I found a guy that will install that same opener next week.

Thanks for the pics. I have about the same gate (14ft) except I had horse fence panel welded across it.
