Shot a porcupine this morning. Don’t want to mount it but do not want to throw it away.
Can you tan there hide like a pelt or utilize them in some way?
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I have seen them mounted so I know it can be done. freeze the hide and start looking for someone that will do it.
