Nice
But you better head shoot them because you may not have enough gun for a body shot.

Those are beautiful, I had one in .35 Remington and it packed a punch on both ends.
If I get to go Saturday morning it will be with a crossbow in my hands as we are archery only.
Good luck.

Not sure. I'm taking four rifles with me. Leaning towards the 308 since it's new and hasn't killed anything (yet).

7mm Rem Mag built on a Savage 116 action
308 Win Tikka CTR all factory
260 Rem Tikka CTR all factory
25-06 built on a Rem 700 action

Silver spurs and gold tequila
keep me hanging on.

Same one I`ve been carrying on opening day since 1977. A Remington 270 ADL with a 130 grain Norma ammunition.

My grandfathers 03-A3 that he carried on Guadalcanal

Winchester 150 grain

That rifle ad those rounds have been knocking down Texas deer since 1946. No reason to change.

I’m still on the fence. I verified zero on my 300 HAMR, 6.5 CM, and 22-250 this week.

I’m curious to know what wild hog currently walking the earth cannot be swiftly dealt with using a 7mm-08 and a 140 grain ballistic tip?

None, but you are limited to certain shot angles. The Federal Trophy Bonded 160. grain bullet holds together better and does a better job providing an exit on quartering shots.

Actually, I have a purpose built .458 SOCOM for hogs....that I use when specifically targeting hogs. It doesn't matter what angle they are presenting with that.

Can’t decide between my Tikka T3 7mm-08 hand loaded with 160 grain sierra gamekings or my Remington 700 LSS 257 weatherby loaded with 120 grain nosler partitions.

Would have loved to carry the new Ruger 77 mark ii 257 bob, but due to scope mounting issues looks like it’ll set this season out
