I have been using dog food from Costco's brand. It is made by Diamond pet foods I want to say 27% protein and 18% fat was pretty close to the others but half the price, I have used PPP and Blue Buffalo in the past and they are just too expensive to justify.

We needed more food so I took a trip to TSC yesterday fully expecting to change foods…once you get down to it they aren’t priced that far apart. Example, the 40lbs I got more food but it required adding a full cup to each dogs intake, that’s not a savings.

Yes, I could’ve switched to the $40/40lb Diamond but it was packed full of corn (2nd ingredient). I’m not on the grainless kick but corn is a not so great filler…so in the end, the prices aren’t that different unless you go with the corn filled stuff.

Fed nothing buy Diamond Naturals for Extreme Athletes to my bird dogs for 16 years. Excellent food, highly rated. All my dogs love it.

It's $47.00 for 40 pounds.

They're all rated here:

That’s a good deal these days. That’s a price I’d be happy with.

Purina dog food is like Yeti coolers. Well, Yeti may be a decent cooler whereas Purina...

Victor makes good stuff. It's probably worth the price, but you can get by with others. I buy based on activity level, ingredients and knowing what mine will eat and digest well.
