Hey y'all, I own 80 acres of unimproved desert at the foot of the Delaware Mountains in West Texas. The property is small, but it's surrounded by low-fence ranches owned by oilfield billionaires who manage for mule deer and aoudad. I bet there are some blue quail hiding out among the ocotillo as well ... plus a few varieties of cactus I have not seen anywhere else.

The problem is, my pickup truck is no match for the washed-out dirt road that goes to my land, and I can't get the county out there to maintain its own easement. So, I've only been to my place one time, and that was just to walk around and watch a Blue Origin space launch.

Which brings me to my offer. I will trade an exclusive hunting & recreation lease through February 2023 for somebody who will get out there and repair the road. Most of the road is fine; it just needs some help in a few really bad spots. I know this is not for everybody, but if it sounds like a project you might be interested in, hit me up.

If it's a county road you'll need to get something in writing from them allowing permission to repair the road.
If your in a subdivision with public roads you'll need to check your regulations there also because there
You can get into some legal issues there. I have a maintainer in Van Horn if you ever get the above worked out.

While technically I am sure you are right does anyone even care in these sparsely populated rural counties? We bladed around 40-50 miles of county roads in Presidio county and never asked anyone about it. On the river road by Porvenir we fixed several bad spots with a dozer.
