I guess most folks have been hit by the new numbers. Just got my bill for last month. We've finally figured out how to cut that bill down to size - just don't use much electricity.
Currently paying $0.11 per kwh.
What you guys seeing these days?

Is 0.11 per kw base fee, or after all other fees tacked on. Such as delivery fee, service availability charge, franchise fee, temp storm surcharge, etc?

If you truly have .11 rate, you're already way ahead! .14-.17 are the current rates if you haven't already locked in lower.

I signed a three year contract at 11.4/kwh (power + delivery) earlier this year...and was whining about the price. Now its a great deal.
Mixed projections about natural gas cost over the next couple of years. Some think they will drop significantly. Most think the LNG export business will increase and drilling will decrease.
If you look at the long term contacts, you can find some significantly less than short term. My advise to folks is to find one of those long terms that has a reasonable cancellation fee and go with it. If there is a huge drop in nat gas prices, you can pay the cancellation fee and get a cheaper contract. If nat gas stays where it is, or goes up, they you make out like a bandit.

My CPS bill (San Antonio) with all of the "fees" and other gibberish came out to $.1183 last month

Here in Idaho Falls, our base residential rate is 6.75 cents/KWH. With fees, and demand rates added, it brings it up to just under 10 cents/KWH. Still very affordable!

I am three years into a five year contract at with Reliant $ 0.10/kWh all in. (1500 kWh is $150.00)
We are 2500 sq ft, 4/3 all electric so my usage varies from 1000 kWh to 2400 kWh per month depending on the weather and the number of visitors. With five adult kids, twelve grandkids, and friends, we get a lot of visitors. Think of all of the showers, cooking, and clothes dryer running on electric!
I don't know what I'm going to get when this contract expires!

We are on Co-Op in Frisco, We have to use Co-Serv I have never looked at my rate 13 yrs with coserv. Don’t know if ours is cheap, moderate, or expensive but it doesn’t matter I suppose.
