Anyone who has used them have any input or review of them they would like to share? They are in my budget finally but the contact with EuroOptics has pushed a bit of a hard sell on these so want to see what any users are liking or not liking about them.

There’s a 10 page thread of mine on second page on here that covers a good bit. It’s titled Swaro El Range Binos, but it morphed more into Leica. I haven’t used enough to review. I may chime in later. But worn out right now. DStroud will chime in or pm him cause he knows them well.
It will talk about Doug at Cameralandny and how helpful he is. Not hard sell at all.

I’ve got the 8x42 hd 2700. They’re terrific. I’ve ranged safari cars at 2000 yards, buildings at 2400 yards, individual trees at 1900 yards, etc. other than weight, no reservations.

glass is great but vortex will out range them by far

And the Sig 10K will out range the Vortex but alas the glass is same as Vortex meh…

Excellent glass. Have yet to really test the range finder past 1000 yards.

I have the vortex fury 5000’s.

I’ve ranged houses that read 4800 yards.

I like them a lot. I texted Leica, Burris and Vortex and Vortex imp was the best out of the 3.

Their scopes suck but I’m a fan of their binos and rangefinders.

Which ones are your referring to? I have the 3200.com’s and they are great. I carried swaro el’s and a terrapin for years and the 3200’s are the first ranging binos that made me go to a single set. If I had complaints they are on the heavy side for a high altitude hunt, and use a odd battery your not going to find at a gas station. But still lighter than what I used to carry. I’ve ranged deer and elk at 2000+ yards and trees at over 3000, so they are legit. Pretty much need a tripod on deer at that range though. The sig, vortex, and bushnells all range well, but the glass isn’t even in the same ballpark, and something I wouldn’t even consider on a hunting trip. My buddy carries the swaro el range, and on our last elk hunt I had a chance to sit on the side of a mountain with both of them as it got dark. My Leica’s might have a 3-4 minute edge in spotting elk on the opposite ridge. Clarity was a toss up and I had a slight edge on field of view. The el’s were smaller and lighter, so there’s that. But as for ranging the Leica’s smoked the swaros. Behind good boots and a good rifle, good glass is worth saving and spending some $ on. Side note, I’m not very impressed with the ballistics built into them or the app. I don’t use it, but that’s not what I got them for. The same could be said for the other brands mentioned when it comes to ballistic software. Hope that helps

Thanks to all for the input. This is my first venture into higher end binos in preparation for next year’s western hunt. Going to get my hands on some next weekend to see what feels good. I haven’t made a decision on what model yet but I am sure the hands on will help.

Don’t compare the old Swarovski EL range finding ability with what they have now in the Swarovski RF TA’s as they are now comparable if not ever so slightly better in just pure ranging ability than the Leica’s.
Neither can range like the Sig 10k but you do sacrifice glass no doubt.
Right now I give the Leica Pro best all round taking all into consideration including pricing.
I also like the fact the Leica has Applied Ballistic app versus whatever the Swarovski uses although the Swarovski always gave me good info I am just more familiar with the Applied Ballistics.
I used the 10 K’s to give me accurate data to 500 yds with my B14 22 rimfire.
I shot a match today and never used anything but my binoculars for my data and when I missed it wasn’t the data.

I have been using Leica Geovid-R 10x42 binos for about 14 years. They have been on hunts all over the US, Africa, Argentina and Scotland. I love them. If you are torn between Swarovski and Leica, go for the one that has the best price and that you like the most. These two companies nick each other's engineers like sports team's nick players, so both company's products will always have similar quality. If you don't need the latest models that have more features than an iPhone, you can find the older models for a very good price.

Im not sure what Wytex is referring to but I found all brands of ranging binos in "10x42" to be too big/heavy/bulky for my use. Many love them, so maybe its how they use them, or just personal preference. I talk about it in my other thread but i eventually went with the Leica Pro "10x32". I assume Ill lose some light gathering in low light but the field of view is the same and I just couldnt lug those big ones around.

I have ranged calfs at 1800 yards ..

They have an amazing depth of field meaning you can glass varying distances without constantly messing with the focus..

My brother has a set as well..
If you can get a decent deal you won't regret it

I had a set of the first gen Leica's when they were the only range finding binocular on the market. When Leica went from the 2200B's to the 3000 or 3200 model, Bass Pro put the older model on clearance. I was able to sell my old pair and upgrade for $400. I was impressed with the glass in the old version, but I didn't expect a significant difference in the glass like there was going to the HD version much less the overall ergonomics of the newer model. It's the only piece of hunting equipment I've never regretted paying a premium price for and wish I had done it sooner!
