Good info guys, I’m strongly reconsidering my stance on this matter. Long story short and not going into detail. I had an incident recently. Dinner and one drink with the wife. Got pulled over for no turn signal. I had to prove I was good and I did, was not even a concern I had but it did shake me a little. First time in 42 years I had been in that situation.

Our family always referred to canned & bottled beer as being road sodas and Daddy was not much of a drinker. Saw the man drunk one time and that was in Nuevo Laredo - that's a whole nuther story.

Zero, my number is zero. I will not have a drink and drive. I’m not self righteous mind you, I learned the hard way with a driving award. Hang out with a few mothers that have lost their children to drunk drivers. The classes were part of my deal but I think everyone should go to a victim impact panel. Should part of drivers Ed. Except at 15-16 you’re not listening.
I sure as hell don’t judge though, I earned my stripes. Yes Sir, my policy as well. DWI cost are ridiculous, drink prices while out are ridiculous (as a whole), no desire to be on my County's jail photo show and tell website and my job would likely can me for even being arrested.

keep in mind you don't have to be "legally drunk" or in other words, over the limit of 0.08 to be arrested for DWI (CDL holder in CMV 0.04)
not having the normal use of mental or physical faculties by reason of the introduction of alcohol, a controlled substance, a drug, a dangerous drug, a combination of two or more of those substances, or any other substance into the body; or having a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more can land you with a DWI charge. So if you drink one night at the restaurant and hardly never ever drink it may affect your mental or physical faculties even though you're under 0.08 and you be deemed intoxicated by the officer investigating the offense.

Never more than 2. If I feel anything or more than 2 my wife drives. Not taking any chances.

Here in Korea, the legal limit is 0.03... The answer is zero, as previously stated. Wife never drinks, so she's my DD should I need one.

Wifeypoo hasn't had a drink in about three months. Although I now have a dedicated DD, I think she is wondering why she chose me.

I remember a woman having some wine with dinner and then running a stop sign which killed two girls in a jeep. She was less than half the legal limit which was .10 at the time. Intoxication manslaughter has no legal limit and she got a dime in TDC.

So as I’m sure many of you like myself like to enjoy a drink or two while you’re out for dinner. What do you do to protect yourself on the drive home and possibly being stopped by the police? Obviously, don’t get drunk but I’m just saying maybe you have a strong drink unintentionally. Just curious if you guys have drink limits, time limits, etc.. I will typically only have 1 drink when out to dinner and if it is a long dinner maybe 2 so I feel as cheap as they are with the liquor in the drinks at most places I'm pretty solid to drive safely
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

If I drink (no concealed carry) then wife drives. If wife drinks then I drive. We NEVER both drink.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

I just don't do it, don't need any more distractions than my old beat up body already has. Pretty certain right now if i had to do a road side dui test when i tilt my head back and try to touch my nose i'd have trouble maintaining balance and i haven't had anything to drink in about a month. Put one foot infront of the other and walk this line, can't do it. Most of all i can't think of any drink worth trading my current way of life for. For me, drinking happens on a weekend in my back yard while grilling or smoking food and lounging around the pool. Or at an all inclusive resort in Mexico or somewhere like.

Places like Chili's will give you drinks to go and also sell 6 packs to go, I will have the wife pick me up top shelf margarita sometime.
You have to do pick up, not allowed for carry out or take out.
They put a little seal on the top of the cup that says don't drink or break seal until you get home.

Wife and I manage a bingo. Someone brought in some bourbon balls. We got to talking with the security officer and ate aBB, then took a breathalyzer shortly after that. Ten minutes later we were still off the scale. 1 BB!
